About Us Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life. At Stress is Evil, we’ve developed a concept that will help remind you to manage and reduce the stress in your life. We are Gerik Girard and Laurie Lisi, residents of South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Our company has something for everyone because we all have stress. The phrase “Stress is Evil” originated in February, 2006 at a family gathering. Laurie was suffering from a stress related illness and unable to fully enjoy herself. Out of empathy, I spontaneously said “Stress is Evil,” and everyone in the room stopped in their tracks. It was a special moment and we immediately realized the potential of the concept. We began selling our first tee shirts with the phrase “Stress is Evil” during the summer of 2007. The local response was phenomenal. Since then, we have expanded the idea to include stress relieving activities as part of our message. We soon realized there is an endless array of reminders to help people manage the stress in their everyday lives. We are currently marketing our products through retail shops, local fairs, and fundraisers for school groups. Our goal is to start a national campaign against stress by promoting our products from coast to coast. We believe everyone can benefit from our message. Thank you for your interest in our company.
